MArch (Distinction), BSc (Hons)

Daisy joined Orms in 2025 after completing her Masters of Architecture at the Architectural Association. She brings a range of professional experience, having worked across residential, infrastructure, and mixed-use and cultural sectors, on projects ranging from listed private refurbishments to infrastructural and heritage projects. She has a keen interest in sustainable architecture and circular economy, which began in her undergraduate studies at the University of Bath and developed through time in practice and carried through to her master’s thesis.

What does ultrapractical mean to you?

My thesis explored a temporary network for material reuse across London, engaging live projects and broader questions of urban material lifecycles to scale up reuse in the city. The project reframes deconstruction and reuse processes to engage the public, centred at the building transformation of the Billingsgate Market. To me, ultrapractical means to work with existing conditions to find creative solutions most suitable for the new needs of a site. I believe that responsive and meaningful architecture emerges through careful listening, precise documentation, and collaborative problem-solving across disciplines.
